Will my balances match after I import?
Yes, for everything the importer reads: each person's balance comes out the same as in the file. Any row it cannot read is listed, so you know what to add by hand.
Do my friends have to switch too?
No. They can stay placeholders in your group until they join from your invite link.
What does not come across?
Comments, receipt photos and split settings. Splitwise does not include them in its export.
